Overview
This article explains why users sending an outbound fax may receive a transmission notification email indicating a higher number of pages were delivered compared to the pages in the fax attachment.
Information
The Coverpage is the first page of a fax that automatically precedes the fax content and can be configured as desired in the Coverpage Preferences page.
A Coverpage can be customized to include:
- organization's logo and contact information
- fax details such as date and time of transmission, fax subject, and fax recipient number
- an introductory message retrieved from the email body
If the account Coverpage preferences have been set to include email body text in the fax, it is possible that the Coverpage can spill over into multiple pages if the email body contains a long email thread.
For this reason, always review the email body text if the Coverpage has been configured to include the email body text as shown below:
