Overview
GFI FaxMaker Online enables administrators some limited functionality to customize the header and footer text for all outgoing and incoming faxes.
This article covers which text used in the header and footer can be modified.
Information
All custom information (such as recipient and sender information) appended to a fax page header or footer is controlled through a number of internal fields that are automatically populated with the applicable information. For example the field ~SenderCSID~
is automatically replaced with the CSID of the sender, usually configured when the user is being created.
Note that it is not possible to remove the header or footer on faxes sent through FaxMaker Online as this is a platform-wide default. Some minimal customization is supported whereby the CSID can be customized up to 20 characters in length and the destination fax number can be changed to a recipient name.
The User Details screen enables configuration of the basic settings of a FaxMaker Online User; some of which can be displayed on the fax header e.g. the Fax CSID which can be a custom name or number that the recipient sees when this user sends a fax. See User Details for more information.
More customization flexibility is permitted on the Coverpage which is the first page of a fax that automatically precedes the fax content. This can be customized to include:
- organization's logo and contact information
- fax details such as date and time of transmission, fax subject, and fax recipient number
- an introductory message retrieved from the email body
See Creating a Coverpage for more information on how to create a custom Coverpage and uploading it for use in FaxMaker Online.
