Overview
This article provides useful information to FaxMaker Online customers who may contact support requesting a copy of their Customer Service Record (CSR), usually with a view to porting their fax numbers away from FaxMaker Online.
Information
A CSR is a document provided by telecom service providers who are also known as carriers. This document lists all of the telephone numbers and services that belong to a customer who desires to move their business to or away from a given provider. A Customer Service Record is a requirement for number porting between traditional telcos, which involves moving phone numbers from a customer's current telecom service provider to a different provider.
Customers who request for a copy of their Customer Service Record believing that the CSR is needed to port away their numbers should be aware that in FaxMaker Online, fax numbers are used in a cloud-based fax telephony environment and do not have a traditional telco account hence no CSR.

In certain situations, no porting documents or CSR may be available for a number, but the gaining carrier insists that we provide something resembling a CSR. In this situation, we may contact Concord for assistance in providing this information.
To view any porting documents that may be available for a given number, please see: Locating Fax Number Porting Documentation

None of the current FaxMaker Online carriers require a bill or CSR in order to port out, therefore the new provider can simply submit the necessary Letter of Authorization to request the port away from FaxMaker Online.
