This article provides important information on the process to be followed before new FaxMaker Online accounts can be enabled to fax internationally.
In order to use FaxMaker Online, you must sign up for the service and create a free trial account. However, number porting is only supported on accounts with paid subscriptions therefore by default there is no fax number to add users to for trial accounts.
Further, starting Jan 01, 2020, all new FaxMaker Online accounts will have international faxing disabled by default. This is due to people starting free trials and making fraudulent calls that cost GFI and the carrier money, which cannot be charged back to the customer as no pages were sent.
Due to the above restriction, new FaxMaker Online customers wishing to send international fax should submit a support ticket requesting to have international faxing enabled for their account.
Support agents should follow these steps once a request to enable international faxing is received:
- Follow the steps outlined in Enabling International Faxing Due to Changes with the New FaxMaker Online Accounts.
- Inform the customer that you will update the ticket as soon as you receive feedback from the Server Team.
